Though we love our furry friends, only dogs that are entered in the show and service animals are allowed at the venue.
All the dogs need to be registered purebreds, and most if not all will come with well-planned pedigrees.
Dogs are judged against the standard, which is basically a set of rules that tell you a dog's ideal size, what kind of temperament it should have, what the dog's coat should look like and how it should be trimmed, what kind of gait it should have, etc.
Judges choose a best in breed. But they don't stop there. There are best of varieties and best-in-show too.
Monday's action has already concluded for breeds in the hound, toy, non-sporting and herding breeds. Sporting, working and terrier fans can expect to watch their favorites on Tuesday afternoon.
Disabled parking is available for people in possession of a blue badge. This is on a first come first served basis. There are disabled access toilets across the site which can be found on the Show map.
With so much happening over the four days, you’ll be entertained from dawn to dusk. We have arranged our programme so that many activities are on several times a day.
First aid is provided at the First Aid centre, situated in the centre of the Showgrounds. Ask a steward or official for assistance.
Smoking is NOT PERMITTED in any enclosed building or space including the Marquees.
